A well-chosen eyebrow shape not only makes the look more open, but also forms the correct proportions of the face. In this case, the best makeup artists in the world advise not to chase fashion. Despite the fact that wide, thick eyebrows are not yet going to “leave” the world’s catwalks, this shape is absolutely not suitable for some girls. The main thing is to comply with three conditions: accuracy, grooming and appropriateness. The most beautiful celebrity eyebrows in our selection.

In the early 2000s, Gwen sported thin, string-like eyebrows. Not long ago she returned to her natural, natural shape, which suits her much better.

Salma Hayek

For a long time, Salma wore rather thin, neatly plucked eyebrows, visually making her eyes smaller. Today, she favors thick brows and a natural shape, which we definitely like better.

Jennifer Lopez

Short eyebrows can visually enlarge the eye. It looks like JLo is familiar with this rule: her eyebrows have become significantly thicker and a little shorter. And the smooth break of the hairline made Jennifer’s look much softer.

Camilla Belle

Many consider Camilla Belle to be the owner of the very ideal shape that makeup artists talk about. It's hard to argue with that!

Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley has thick eyebrows with a classic arch. Thanks to her impeccable form, she was dubbed the “Brow-Icon of Hollywood.”

Mila Kunis

A couple of years ago, Mila Kunis put aside her tweezers, replacing them with an eyebrow brush. And she did the right thing! The new shape and density are very suitable for a young mother.

Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes can be called one of the most emotional actresses, thanks to her active facial expressions. Quite thin arched eyebrows, oddly enough, suit the star, and even fashion did not force her to change the classics.

The performer of one of the main roles in the film “Starship Troopers” prefers wide and straight eyebrows. They match her bottomless blue eyes perfectly.

Lily Collins

Lily is often compared to the legendary Audrey Hepburn. And indeed, the actresses have something in common, including the shape of their eyebrows. Collins has admitted more than once that she practically never plucks them. But at the same time, Lily’s eyebrows look well-groomed and neat.

Anne Hattaway

Eyebrows should always be perfect! If someone skimps on their design, neglects them, does not correct them in a timely manner, or does not pay attention to them, these people are definitely not celebrities! Many Hollywood stars have quite wide aesthetics. Please note that if raised, then slightly and with a tapered tip. Perfect eyebrows should look like this! Let's look at examples for inspiration.

Beautiful eyebrows, charming look!

The design of eyebrows is always based on the anatomical structure of the face and the harmonious architecture of the eyebrows. This means that the eyebrows will have the correct shape. Modern, light design with paint or henna will emphasize the shape of the eyebrows and their natural color. And the caring complex of oils and vitamins helps both eyebrows and eyelashes become thicker and better.

Keira Knightley's credits include the role of a robber in the film Pirates of the Caribbean, the romantic role of Elizabeth Bennet in the film Pride and Prejudice, and the tragic role in Anna Karenina. Yet Knightley has always maintained her own style, thanks in large part to her recognizable eyebrow shape. But recently the actress decided to make a change. Which look do you think suits her best?

It would not be an exaggeration to say that eyebrows Keira Knightley became her recognizable sign. Nature saved the actress from the need to finish drawing and tinting them. In addition, for several seasons they have remained exactly like this, wide and natural brows, which serve as the main accent in makeup. It’s not surprising that the female half of our editorial team use their famous eyebrows as a model. But suddenly the actress abandoned her trademark wide eyebrows, making them much thinner.

In fact, the actress corrected the natural shape of her eyebrows more than once, but worked mainly with the tip - making only it thinner and more graceful.

But now Knightley has decided to make drastic changes and plucked her eyebrows along the entire length, just like

And it’s completely different when you are deprived of this happiness. Tattooing and microblading were invented just for these people. But are these procedures really that good? We decided to figure it out.

How to find your eyebrow artist?

Both tattooing and microblading are complex procedures that few can do with truly high quality. Therefore, first of all, choose not the shape of your new eyebrows, but a specialist!

Firstly, permanent makeup and microblading are medical procedures (according to the definition of the Nomenclature of Medical Services of the Russian Federation), therefore your master must have a secondary or higher medical education and specialization in cosmetology.

Secondly, pay attention to work experience; they become specialists after five years of regular practice, not earlier. An ideal option if you have already seen the results of this master’s work in reality, and not in a photo.

Thirdly, look for masters in salons, not “on-site experts.” A good specialist will never come home; he will work in an equipped salon. And by the way, the equipment must be made in Europe and have the appropriate certificates (if you wish, you can request all these documents from a specialist).

Tattoo

The essence of the procedure: First, a sketch is made using special pencils, then a specialist applies lidocaine-based cream to your eyebrows (this is a necessary anesthesia so that you do not feel pain), after which the master paints and shades the surface with a machine reminiscent of a Parker pen. Immediately after the procedure, your eyebrows will be twice as bright as a couple of weeks later.

“There are a lot of tattoo techniques. They differ in the achieved effect, says an international-class permanent makeup master. – You can get an invisible tattoo, or you can imitate bright decorative cosmetics (eye shadow, for example, or a pencil). In any case, the first day after tattooing, the eyebrows will need to be washed with a non-alcoholic solution, Miramistin or Chlorhexidine, and a thin layer of Bepanten cream should be applied. On the second day you can get by with just the cream. During the first week, steaming procedures will be prohibited: baths, saunas and swimming pools. And solarium and open sun are excluded for the entire first month (don’t forget that ultraviolet lightens permanent makeup, so it’s better to stock up on sunscreen with SPF-50 and a wide-brimmed hat).”

pros

  • It only takes an hour and a half
  • Lasts for 1–1.5 years (and fades evenly and unnoticeably)

Minuses

  • Price. Quite an expensive service. The average cost is 20,000 rubles. (with a machine costing from 1000 euros).

Personal opinion: Polina Kashapova

“I have absolutely stupid eyebrows - “Brezhnev”, so shaggy, bushy, wide, you can even scare children with them. Unfortunately, I myself do not know how to do the correction, and a session with a cosmetologist lasts me a maximum of a week. That's why I decided to get a tattoo. This was 10 years ago, when many believed that it was necessary to pluck everything out first, and then simply paint it with black stripes, and darker. So everyone who found out about my crazy idea dissuaded me. But I did it anyway. For the first time, I found myself in the hands of a cosmetologist at a well-known medical center. I remember that they first drew the shape in pencil, agreed with me, applied Emla cream under the film, and after 20 minutes they started working. It turned out good so much so that all my friends who were opposed to tattoos started going to that cosmetologist. But I didn't like that six months later, the pigment began to fade from the skin with some kind of reddish tint. Therefore, I changed the master and found the same one with whom I now never part. She does tattooing very skillfully and quickly. The entire procedure takes about 30–40 minutes. A couple of days after the session, crusts form and gradually fall off (you can’t pick them off, keep your hands to yourself!), but if the tattoo is done using the hair technique, then this is not particularly noticeable. There is no need to smear the crusts with anything; if it dries too much and it tugs, then you can use a cream with panthenol. Of course, you can’t steam your skin; when washing your hair, you should try to get as little water in as possible. I know that you can’t apply a scrub to your eyebrows; you should use sunscreen when you’re in the sun, but I ignore this recommendation.”

Microblading

The essence of the procedure: microblading is a relatively new phenomenon. And it would seem that this is a simplified version of tattooing. But in reality this is not the case at all. “Microblading is carried out with a special flat-sharpened pencil along the curve of the bone. Anesthesia is carried out in the same way as in permanent makeup, using cream. Then the master cuts through the hairs with a special blade, dipping it into the pigment and filling in the “bald patches,” explains Anna Savina. “True, unlike permanent makeup, the hairs in this case cannot be crossed or connected.”

pros

  • It only takes an hour and a half
  • Durability of the result: from a year or more (but, unfortunately, sometimes it fades unevenly, leaving blue spots)
  • Price: on average RUB 7,000. (with a blade costing 100 rubles), but still cheaper than tattooing

Minuses

  • Painful procedure (especially during correction)
  • After each cut, microscars and swelling remain, which ultimately prevents the pigment from fixing evenly. After complete healing, dark bluish spots remain.

Personal opinion: Olya Kirdyaeva

“I’ll tell you right away that there are two microblading techniques. “Haze”, or shadow shading, is suitable for those who have almost no eyebrows or they are very thin. The second type is imitation of hair application. In this case, the master draws the hairs and fills in the existing gaps. I have never had problems with my eyebrows, but to keep them looking well-groomed, I regularly visit the salon and have them tinted. In addition, I periodically use eyebrow shadows. It is not surprising that of the two possible techniques, I chose hair application. My goal is to stop using improvised means.

So, I did microblading at the salon. NailSpot, where the master greeted me warmly, created a sketch of my future eyebrows and got to work. First, they degreased and numbed my skin with a special gel. Then, using short jerky movements, the master began to apply pigment along the hair growth to a depth of approximately 1 mm. Luckily, I don't feel any cuts at all, but I do hear a strange sound, like paper being cut. The whole process took about an hour and a half. By the way, a little surprise awaits you at the end of the procedure. To preserve the color and consolidate the result, the master applies a special cream that causes an eerie fiery sensation. It's good that these terrible moments only last a couple of minutes. I liked the result, but I didn’t feel wildly delighted. And all because my eyebrows haven't changed at all. Of course, they became more saturated and took on a clearer shape, but mine are absolutely natural and natural.

Two weeks later I went for a correction (this is an integral part of microblading, and, as a rule, it is already included in the price; without it, the procedure is considered incomplete). It turned out that the eyebrows were preserved quite well, because about 30% of the color disappears in the first month, and this is in any case. Having decided that everything would go as smoothly as the first time, I was mistaken. The pain occurred immediately and the anesthesia had to be repeated. Then again and again. Every time I felt pain again, the specialist patiently stopped, once again applied the anesthetic and waited. In fact, the degree of pain is a deeply individual thing and can vary depending on the pain threshold, the general condition of the body, and even a particular day of the female cycle. In general, be prepared. When we finished, I mentally congratulated myself. Now everything is definitely ready! On average, the effect after microblading can last from six months to two years. It depends on the characteristics of the skin and the body as a whole. Of course, it will “live” longer on dry skin, and less on oily or combination skin.”

We have collected the hottest ten of the brightest owners of “a la naturel” eyebrows. For some of them, thick eyebrows have become a kind of “calling card”, while others have joined the fashion trend quite recently. Which eyebrows do you prefer?

Natalia Castellar

In her youth, thick and long eyebrows brought Natalya a lot of suffering: “They bullied me terribly, and I even wanted to shave them off,” the girl recalls. But everything changed in one moment: now this Puerto Rican model is literally in great demand among designers and agencies. And her black thick eyebrows play an important role in this.

Cara Delevingne

Popular

It was Kara who was one of the first to show us that thick eyebrows are cool! And not everyone likes Kara’s sable eyebrows, but Karl Lagerfeld himself considers her one of the most beautiful girls in the fashion world.

Lily Collins

Actress Lily Collins is very proud of her bushy eyebrows and does not give them offense to makeup artists who, when they see a girl, try to get tweezers. By the way, Lily's eyebrows have their own Twitter account.

Lourdes Maria Ciccone-Leon

Madonna's daughter inherited thick, wide eyebrows from her mother, which are ready to “grow together” into a unibrow at any moment. Previously, many people laughed at a girl’s too natural eyebrows. Unable to bear the mockery, the girl took up the tweezers.

Keira Knightley

Did you know that one of the popular queries on Google is “How to get eyebrows like Keira Knightley”? And this is not surprising, because the actress’s eyebrows are truly beyond praise.

Natalya Vodyanova

Another fan of natural eyebrows is model Natalia Vodianova. Natalya owes her luxurious eyebrows... to her grandmother. It was she who forbade the future model to pick up tweezers, saying that such beauty should not be touched.

Emma Watson

As a child, actress Emma Watson had a terrible complex because her eyebrows were too thick and unruly. However, then I realized the trick: Emma practically does not pluck her eyebrows, but instead uses special products to style them.

Sofia Vergara

Colombian actress Sofia Vergara is often compared to Italian Sophia Loren. And indeed, there are similarities: the eyebrows of both actresses are simply luxurious!
